Lindsey Horner
February 2010

Welcome to the homepage of Lindsey Horner. I am well into my new project called "Undiscovered Country" through ArtistShare. We recorded most of the raw material during the last week of June, and I'm quite pleased with the results so far, If I do say so myself. Erwin Vann and Augustin Foly flew in from Belgium, Jeff Berman and Colter Harper made their way from Pittsburgh, Allison Miller motored in from Brooklyn and Rob Thomas strolled down from 176th st. Chris Cunningham made a surprise appearance on a visit back from Minneapolis and a good time was had by all.

In early December, I went back into the studio with percussion master and engineer supreme, Randy Crafton, to do some overdubs. I've posted a few photos from that session in the photo gallery section of the site.

Here into early February we've started mixing, a process that has been halted by the heavy snow here in the New York area. It's proving to be a challenging mix, but there's a lot of richness to the sound picture.

If you've signed up to participate, thanks again and I hope you've been going to the site often to check out the progress and see some of the photos, interviews and various other goodies there. If you haven't gone there lately, please do! If you're not yet aware of the project, please go to http://lindseyhorner.artistshare.com to check it out and hopefully be a part of it.

I recently did an interview with Ludwig Van Trikt of Cadence magazine which  appeared in the third quarter issue of 2009.

The last CD by Jewels and Binoculars, Ships With Tattooed Sails, placed among the best CD's of 2007 in the Village Voice critics poll as well as on AllAboutJazz.com. Check out the news section for an insightful article on the band and the recording by Francis Davis which appeared in The Village Voice.

There is a transcript of a recent interview with the Greek magazine, Jazz and Tzaz, also in the news/reviews section.
